**"What you may have" is based on the assumption that you will begin retirement by taking 4% from your investments starting the first year, then increasing that amount by 3% each year due to inflation. There is no guarantee that this withdrawal strategy will work and in large part depends on multiple factors that include, but are not limited to, the length of your retirement, your chosen investment strategy and investment performance over the life of the plan.
*"Today's Dollars" discounts future dollars by a 3% assumed inflation rate. This allows us to look at future dollars in today's terms given those assumptions.
